Updating the USB labelling in our product range

In order to keep up with the latest developments and simplified labelling in the USB industry, we are updating the labelling of our USB products. Instead of the previous standard names (such as USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 4 Gen 2x2), the USB organisation is now focusing on direct information about the data transfer rate and charging power of the cables (e.g. "USB 20 Gbps / 60W").

This change should help you to understand more easily what performance you can expect from our products. Please note that old packaging with the traditional labelling may still be in circulation during this transition. Our commitment to the environment remains strong: we continue to use existing packaging to reduce waste and minimise our environmental footprint.

Once you have experienced the many advantages of a USB-C® connection, such as the high speed of data transfer, the powerful wattage of the power supply or the versatility of such connections, you will never want to do without it again. Oehlbach has now once again paid special tribute to USB-C® and developed the Primus CC, a state-of-the-art cable that makes full use of the standard. It delivers data speeds of 20 GBit/s and a charging capacity of up to 60 watts. The Primus CC consistently relies on loss-free transmission and the highest quality of all components. This starts with the monocrystalline oxygen-free HPOCC inner conductor, continues with triple shielding and a durable flexible fabric jacket and ends with the 24kt gold-plated full metal connections with 100% contact reliability, which is fully maintained even with smartphones in protective cases thanks to our clever connection socket.
