With the enormously high resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels of Ultra HD/4K content and the associated large amounts of data, the requirements for signal transmission are also increasing. Especially when long distances have to be covered, even high-quality cables are no longer sufficient to transmit the AV signals to a TV or projector without error artifacts. In this case the investment in a repeater is worthwhile. This is a compact adapter that amplifies the digital signals from the player, e.g. an Ultra HD Blu-ray player, a modern gaming console or a powerful computer, to the picture playback device. The Oehlbach UHD Repeater is simply plugged between the two cables. Two 24 carat gold-plated HDMI 2.0 interfaces are available for this purpose. Weighing only 27 g, the adapter comes in a cobalt-blue extruded aluminium housing and is therefore excellently shielded. A blue functional LED is also integrated, the power supply is provided by the connected player. The Oehlbach UHD Repeater supports 4K/Ultra HD signals at up to 60 frames per second with full YUV 4:4:4 color resolution. Cable lengths of up to 25 meters can be realized in combination with high-quality cables (e.g. Oehlbach XXL Carb 15m + 10m or Oehlbach Black Magic 10 m + 5 m).
