Goodbye analogue, hello digital!
What is an analogue signal?
What is a digital signal?
Radio reception after switching off the analogue cable connection
Radios with an analogue FM(VHF)/MW tuner can still be used. Some of them have their own aerial or can be operated with an FM(VHF) indoor aerial via the previous FM(VHF)/75 Ohm aerial connection.
If the radio has an audio input (AUX-LINE), a digital DVB-C radio tuner can be connected here. This allows the digital radio programme to be used via cable.
As only the TV socket on the wall can be used, we recommend using an RF splitter so that two connections are available from the TV socket.
DAB+ radio reception
Radio reception via cable (DVB-C/C2 or DVB-T2)
Does your television already have a digital DVB-T2 tuner built in? Then you will need an aerial and an internet connection for reception. Depending on the location, this can be an indoor, outdoor or roof aerial. Find out more at the following link:
